SERVICES

Viridian led landscape architecture and design-build coordination for a new timber-frame performance pavilion, stage, and adjoining 500-foot multi-use path within Shamrock Park. Services included pavilion site design, accessible circulation, community placemaking, planting design, and construction coordination.

The landscape design integrates the pavilion into the park’s established setting, creates accessible pedestrian connections, and supports flexible use of the Great Lawn for performances, special events, community gatherings, and everyday recreation.

DETAILS

Shamrock Park is a central civic space closely connected to Tyrone’s downtown identity and small-town character. The pavilion and multi-use path represent the first phase of a broader, citizen-informed effort to revitalize the park for future generations. Designed as a flexible community destination, the timber-frame pavilion and stage expand the park’s capacity to host concerts, performances, festivals, movie nights, markets, and other civic programming. The adjoining path improves accessibility and circulation while connecting the new gathering space to the park’s existing amenities and landscape.

Viridian’s design balances contemporary amenities with the familiar character that has made Shamrock Park an important community destination. The landscape, planting, and pedestrian improvements help the pavilion feel integrated into the existing park rather than added as a stand-alone structure, reinforcing the Town’s goal of creating a welcoming space that supports recreation, community connection, and downtown activity.
