Convocation Center 

Landscape, hardscape, and irrigation design around the new 72,280SF three-story building including the main entrance plaza, amphitheater-style terrace seating and pathways connecting to adjacent campus facilities. Known as the “new front door to campus” this project is part of a $48M state-funded capital project. The building features a main event space with a seating capacity of 3,100, a collegiate-sized basketball court with locker rooms, a presidential suite, and a student health, wellness and recreation space. Flexible use rooms in the center will support students through formal and informal learning and collaboration. 

Georgia Power Foundation Donor Bear Garden 

Viridian worked with the Georgia Gwinnett College Foundation to develop a design for the Georgia Power Donor Garden. We hand selected boulders brought in from a locally sourced rock quarry. We collaborated with Gregory Johnson, the artist for the bronze bear sculpture, and designed a garden framing the entrance of the new convocation center.
