Viridian Studios is working with Chasm to prepare conceptual and schematic design for the first part of this project. Services included a landscape and hardscape renovation package to rehabilitate the south plaza and tunnel entrance on north side of tracks including parking islands, passenger-off and walkways.

DETAILS

MARTA is transforming one of their largest and busiest train stations with a modern, light-filled design. Located in the Martin Luther King corridor, the project will replace much of the heavy concrete with sleek, transparent structures, creating a more open and inviting space. A stunning PTFE canopy will wrap around the train platforms like a chrysalis, while glass curtain walls will flood the concourse below with natural light. In collaboration with Artbound, MARTA’s public art program, we’re also integrating artwork into the design, making it an essential part of the station’s revitalization.
