SERVICES
Viridian Studios is leading the landscape design of the ~7,800SF activated courtyard and ~9,000SF pool area at the heart of this new residential community. Our scope includes pool area layout, pool deck design, and associated fencing to meet Cobb County Swimming Pool Codes, as well as grading strategies that respond to the site’s topography while minimizing handrails and maximizing accessibility. We are coordinating closely with the entire design team to ensure the courtyard integrates seamlessly with adjacent architectural and community elements. Courtyard features will include gathering spaces, an active lawn, areas for respite and study, and amenities such as fixed seating and bike racks.
DETAILS
This redevelopment supporting Kennesaw State University students replaces an existing apartment community with a new 204-unit rental housing development centered around a vibrant outdoor environment. The design emphasizes community-building with an activated courtyard and a resort-style pool that together serve as the social and recreational core of the project. Complemented by pavilions and bath houses, the outdoor spaces are envisioned as a blend of activity and respite, offering students places to connect, relax, and enjoy a modern living environment.
